Nash is co-owned with his breeder Bonnie Huett of Trout Creek Swiss Mountain Dogs and we share in the excitement of him. Nash has been a great addition for Gypsy Boots and especially Cutter offering him a younger counterpart at home that has lightened up the days. He had a great affection for our old kitty, Ella, they took daily a naps together most days until she passed. Now he shares his days with his son Gatsby.
Nash proved himself in the conformation ring being a top-ranked Great Swiss Mountain Dog for 2016 - 2020 along side of his handlers, Luke & Rowan Baggenstos. We traveled the country to over 20 states meeting where represented himself as a wonderful steward to the breed. In 2018 Nash achieved the #1 All-Systems Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in the Country and in 2019 he was again #1 in breed points and was #2 all-breed.
In addition to conformation showing, Nash earned titles in Rally, Pack Dog, Herding, and Obedience and is an overall well-rounded guy with such a fun spirited disposition.
In his retirement years he's been able to shine as a veteran going Best Veteran at the 2021 and 2022 National Specialties with his best team of Luke and Rowan! Additionally, he's sure made his stamp as a producer being award 1st Stud Dog the 2021 and 2023 National Specialties and receiving the Top Producing Sire of Working and Performing offspring for three years in a row (2020-2022) and Top Producing Sire of Champions (2021).
Nashy has brought so much joy to my life! Now in his senior years he still has the same love for his favorite toys and wakes up every morning thinking it's the best day of his life. Nash has brought so many wonderful dogs and people into our lives and has represented himself as true ambassador to the breed. In 2023 he was kindly awarded the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America Ambassador to the Breed.
